Repsol’s Well Intervention Strategy

OWI APAC 2019 is the annual meeting point for Asia’s most innovative operators and their chosen place to share their expertise and lessons-learnt on the latest well intervention approaches.

At this year’s conference (2-3 May) Repsol will deliver an exclusive case study outlining how Hydraulic Workover Units helped to reduce cost for their P&A campaigns. More specifically:

  • Consider how utilising an “all in one” contract concept generates value to the offline P&A operation and reduces impact on inefficiencies including non-productive time
  • Become aware of how early well preparation, prior to drilling rig arrival, ensured efficient rig time to focus on drilling side-track for infill wells
  • Learn how implementing offline P&A compared to online P&A reduced overall CAPEX, with evidence of recorded substantial cost optimization from using this approach

Repsol will be joined by representatives from Petronas MPM, Sarawak Shell Berhad, SAKA Energi, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, ONGC and Murphy Oil Corporation – making this the premier meeting point for oil and gas operators in the Asia Pacific.
